Tournage au Luxembourg

Après avoir mis en images les modèles Parisiens et Namurois, le tournage s’est poursuivi au Grand-Duché de Luxembourg. Nos partenaires du Lycée Technique Agricole d’Ettelbruck nous ont accompagné auprès de leurs partenaires locaux sur le terrain les 28 et 29 juin 2021.

De la graine à l’assiette : entre maraîchage et emploi

Dans le cadre du projet IMAGINE, le Lycée Technique Agricole d’Ettelbruck s’attache au développement de l’ensemble de la chaîne de production agricole afin d’évaluer d’une part, les possibilités économiques pour un maraîchage local en circuit-court qui a presque disparu au Luxembourg et d’autre part de créer des emplois pour les jeunes, de la culture des semences à la transformation et la conserverie des produits issus du maraîchage.

Cette étendue permet de générer un travail constant sur l’ensemble de l’année, et favorise ainsi l’employabilité des jeunes. Le particularité du projet IMAGINE réside dans la coproduction et la complémentarité entre les différents organismes qui travaillent sur le terrain avec les jeunes en insertion : Le Lycée Technique Agricole (LTA), l’Agence pour le développement de l’emploi (ADEM), le Centre d’orientation socio-professionnel (COSP) et le Forum pour l’Emploi (FPE).

Centre d’orientation socio-professionnel pour les jeunes

Le COSP basé à Lintgen a pour particularité de permettre la valorisation, la stabilisation, le développement des compétences et l’orientation de jeunes défavorisés et en situation de handicap.
Market gardening workshop
L’objectif est de permettre aux jeunes à travers 8 ateliers – Peinture, Hygiène, Mécanique, Jardinage, Polyvalent, Métal, Reliure, Administratif & logistique – de mieux appréhender leurs compétences et leurs limites afin de pouvoir trouver une orientation professionnelle qui leur correspond.

Chaque jeune qui intègre le COSP suit une formation de huit semaines à la fois technique, sociale et dispose d’un suivi socio-éducatif individuel et d’un suivi médical global.

Dans le cadre du programme IMAGINE, les jeunes ont notamment mis en œuvre un projet commun de lit surélevé permettant ainsi de mettre l’accent sur des compétences en jardinage/maraîchage, menuiserie, et hygiène. Une formation théorique a également été dispensée par rapport au vocabulaire technique en 5 langues : Luxembourgeois, Français, Allemand, Anglais et Portugais.

Développement d’un savoir-être professionnel par le maraîchage

Le Forum pour l’emploi permet aux jeunes de bénéficier d’un contrat à durée déterminée de cinq mois renouvelables selon les besoins éventuels des stagiaires. À travers son service am Gaertchen, le Forum pour l’emploi a développé un espace de formation technique en maraîchage sur deux sites de production, où des fruits et légumes biologiques ainsi que des fleurs et plantes sans pesticides, sont cultivés toute l’année et destinés à la vente directe aux consommateurs.

Les jeunes sont par ailleurs accompagnés par des conseillers notamment autour des questions relationnelles en lien avec le milieu professionnel ainsi que dans leur parcours d’orientation, de perspectives professionnelles, et dans leur recherche d’emploi. À l’issue de leur contrat, les jeunes ont également la possibilité de poursuivre un apprentissage en maraîchage au Lycée Technique Agricole en vue d'obtenir un diplôme.

C’est par le fruit de la terre que la rencontre avec les jeunes a été initiée, en effet c’est en nous offrant des fraises fraîchement récoltées que le groupe de jeune nous a accueilli sur les terres. Parmi ces jeunes, nous avons pu faire la rencontre de João, originaire du Portugal qui a intégré la formation IMAGINE il y a quelques mois, et qui a pour objectif de poursuivre un cursus dans le domaine du maraîchage. Un parcours sur lequel nous aurons l’occasion de revenir prochainement…

Video shooting in Luxembourg

After having filmed the models in Paris and Namur, we continued our video shooting in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Our partners from the Lycée Technique Agricole d'Ettelbruck presented us their social incubation model with their local partners on June 28th and 29th, 2021.

From seed to plate : between market gardening and employment

As part of the IMAGINE project, the Lycée Technique Agricole is working on the development of the entire agricultural production chain in order to assess, on the one hand, the economic possibilities for a local short-circuit market gardening which has almost disappeared in Luxembourg and on the other hand to create jobs for young people, from the cultivation of seeds to the processing and canning of market gardening products.

This global view makes it possible to generate constant work throughout the year, and to promote the employability of young people. The particularity of the IMAGINE project is the co-production and complementarity between the various organisations working in the field with young people for their integration : the Lycée Technique Agricole (LTA), the Employment Development Agency (ADEM), the Socio-professional orientation center (COSP) and the Forum pour l'Emploi (FPE).

Centre d’orientation socio-professionnel pour les jeunes

The COSP, which is based in Lintgen, has the particularity of enabling the valorisation, stabilisation, skills development and guidance of disadvantaged and disabled young people.

The aim is for young people to better understand their skills and their limits in order to be able to find a professional orientation that suits them through 8 workshops - Painting, Hygiene, Mechanics, Gardening, Multipurpose, Metal, Binding, Administrative and Logistics.

Each young people who joins the COSP follows an eight-week technical and social training course and has individual socio-educational monitoring and overall medical monitoring.

With the IMAGINE program, young people notably implemented a raised garden bed project, using skills in gardening / market gardening, carpentry, and hygiene. Theoretical training was also provided on technical vocabulary in 5 languages : Luxembourgish, French, German, English and Portuguese.

Development of professional know-how through market gardening

The Forum pour l’emploi allows young people to benefit from a five-month fixed-term contract, renewable according to the trainees' needs. Through its service am Gaertchen, the Forum pour l'emploi developed a technical training area in market gardening with two production sites where organic fruit and vegetables as well as flowers and plants without pesticides are grown all year round and intended for direct sale to consumers.

Young people are also accompanied by advisers, in particular about issues related to the professional environment, their orientation path, their professional perspectives, and their job searching. At the end of their contract, young people have the opportunity to pursue a one-time apprenticeship at the Lycée Technique Agricole to obtain a degree.

Meeting with young people and testimonies

The meeting with young people started with the fruit of the earth, indeed it was by offering us freshly harvested strawberries that the group of young people welcomed us to the land. Among these young people, we met João, originally from Portugal who joined the IMAGINE training a few months ago. His purpose is to pursue an apprenticeship in market gardening. We will come back to his experience soon...
